DC reviews facilities for children at CPWB

Lahore: Deputy Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Ali Ijaz visited the headquarters of the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) and reviewed facilities being provided to children residing there.



Additional Deputy Commissioner Headquarters Rao Rafi, Chief Officer Metropolitan Corporation Lahore Kaleem Yousaf and Assistant Commissioner Shalimar Rabia Altaf accompanied the DC during the visit.



The DC was briefed in detail about accommodation, food, education, training and other administrative arrangements for the children at the bureau.



During his visit, DC Muhammad Ali Ijaz inspected the nursery, play area and various sections of the bureau. He reviewed the toys, recreational and play facilities available for children and directed that a pleasant and healthy environment be ensured for their mental and physical development. He said providing the best possible care, quality food and protection to vulnerable and deserving children was a major moral responsibility.



The DC directed the bureau officials to maintain high standards of cleanliness and upkeep in all sections, including the nursery, and ensure that care arrangements remained continuously improved and transparent. He expressed the resolve that the district administration would continue providing all available resources to ensure the bureau’s administrative affairs were managed according to the highest standards and that the children residing there were provided a safe, supportive environment and a brighter future.
