NAWABSHAH: Deputy Commissioner Zahid Hussain Rind on Monday visited different areas of the district and inspected the performance of anti-polio teams.
The DC directed the deputed staff to perform duty honestly during the nationwide anti-polio campaign that kicks off today by administering anti-polio drops to every child up to the age of five years.
DC asked the teams deployed at transit points to ensure vaccination of passenger children.
Rind said that he would observe the performance of polio teams on a daily basis and action would be taken against the team showing negligence.
He appealed to parents to cooperate with anti-polio teams during the campaign and help vaccinate their children against polio.
On the occasion, the DC also administered oral polio vaccine to children and marked their fingers. On the other side, all assistant commissioners also visited their domain areas and inspected the working and performance of anti-polio workers at transit and fixed points.
