Hyderabad: A meeting regarding the Polio Eradication Programme was convened and chaired by Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad Zain-ul-Abedin Memon, with DHO Dr. Pir Ghulam Hussain as Co-Chair



The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner-II Ms. Mahvish Aijaz, Assistant Commissioners of the respective talukas, members of the DHMTs and THMTs, the DEOC Core Team, and PEOC Mentor Dr. Bisma.



The meeting focused on the positive Environmental Surveillance (ES) results and strategies to address identified gaps during the upcoming Sub-National Immunization Days (SNID) campaign in September.



During the meeting, the District Emergency Operations Centre (DEOC) presented detailed analyses, including data on grey houses, 30-Household (HH) cluster reports, and other key surveillance indicators. The participants reviewed the findings and discussed targeted strategies and special interventions to ensure maximum coverage of children and strengthen polio eradication efforts.



Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad emphasized the need for coordinated efforts, data-driven planning, focused field interventions, and effective monitoring to address missed children and vulnerable areas during the September SNID campaign.



The meeting concluded with directions to all concerned teams to ensure effective implementation of the agreed strategies and strengthened coordination at the district and taluka levels for achieving the goal of a polio-free Hyderabad.
