District

SADIQABAD:Deputy Commissioner Rahim Yar Khan Zaheer Anwar Jappa on Wednesday inspected the Chhallan Wala-to-Abbasia Bridge section of the Nowshera Minor upgradation project to review progress on ongoing construction and development work.

During the visit, the deputy commissioner inspected various sections of the project and received a briefing from the relevant officials on the pace and quality of work. The project includes the construction of a walking track, a children’s play area and tree plantation, along with other development initiatives aimed at providing residents with improved recreational facilities.

During the visit, Jappa directed the concerned authorities to ensure that all development work met the prescribed quality standards and was completed within the stipulated timeframe. He stressed that construction quality on public welfare projects must not be compromised and called for effective coordination among the relevant departments to ensure timely completion.

He said providing residents with better facilities for recreation, exercise and healthy activities was among the administration’s priorities. The walking track would offer people a dedicated space for walking and exercise, while the children’s play area would provide a safer and more suitable recreational environment for young visitors.
