QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Sibi Mansoor Ahmad Qazi on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review the progress of ongoing development projects.
RE Taswur Khan, DPD Nari World Bank Anosh Khan, Executive Engineer B And R Atiq-ur-Rehman, Chief Officer Ghulam Abbas Bohar, Assistant Director Local Government Muhammad Akbar and other officials concerned attended the meeting.
DC Sibi said that no compromise would be made on the quality of development works and warned that strict action would be taken against the contractors and officers of the departments concerned for substandard work and negligence.
The government officials should serve the people in all circumstances, he said, adding that development projects were the assets of the public.
Qazi said that public welfare should be taken into consideration while formulating new projects to ensure that the projects directly benefit the people in the area.
