D.I.KHAN:The district police have finalized its security plan for the 12th Rabi ul Awal (day to celebrate birthday of the Holy Prophet (SAW)) to be observed on October 9th while over 4,000 police officers and personnel would be deployed for the security of the processions.
According to plan issued by District Police Officer Najmul Hasnain Liaquat, the district was divided into five sectors and a DSP rank officer would be Incharge of each sector.
A total of 16 processions would be taken out across the district including 2 major processions in Dera Ismail Khan Tehsil, 9 in Paharpur, one in Kulachi and two each in Yarik and Paroa.
Besides DPO, four SPs, 74 Sub Inspectors, 52 Assistant Sub inspectors would perform their duties on 12 Rabi ul Awal.
All the routes of processions would be sealed while the police personnel in uniform as well as in white dress and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) would be deployed on these routes.
DPO Najmul Hasnain Liaquat, in a statement, said that all possible measures would be taken to maintain peace and urged the people to cooperate with the department.
He asked the citizens to keep a close eye on suspicious persons and objects around them. Keeping in view the prevailing security situation, he said, it was the duty of all citizens to help the security institutions.
