DERA ISMAIL KHAN:The district police have launched a crackdown on traffic violations, targeting underage drivers, unregistered motorcycles and vehicles with illegal tinted windows.
The campaign is being carried out under the supervision of the District Traffic Police in line with directives issued by Regional Police Officer Ghulam Mubashir Mekan and District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed.
The action focuses on minors driving motorcycles, three-wheelers and other vehicles, motorcycles and vehicles without registration number plates, and the illegal use of tinted papers on vehicle windows.
The police said the campaign aimed to ensure compliance with traffic laws, prevent road accidents, protect the lives and property of citizens, and improve law and order in the district.
The police urged upon the parents not to allow underage children to drive motorcycles, three-wheelers or other vehicles. Motorcyclists were also advised to display prescribed number plates, while motorists were asked to remove illegally tinted papers from their vehicle windows.
The police said indiscriminate action against traffic violations would continue to ensure safer roads and a peaceful environment for the public.
