Dera ismail khan: The Dera Range Police has launched a comprehensive tree plantation campaign across Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Upper South Waziristan and Lower South Waziristan districts on the directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ghulam Mubashir Maken.
The RPO has directed District Police Officers, Superintendents of Police (Investigation) and other relevant officers to plant maximum trees and saplings at police stations, posts, police lines and offices and ensure their proper upkeep.
Ghulam Mubashir Maken said tree plantation was a national and moral responsibility of every citizen, adding that the police was also contributing to a healthy and safe environment alongside protecting the lives and property of the people.
He urged citizens to plant trees around their homes, neighbourhoods and educational institutions and ensure their protection for a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations.
