LARKANA:Director General Media BISP Headquarters Islamabad Zulfiqar Sheikh reached Larkana on Saturday along with District Director Ayaz Sheikh to discuss and reviewed the process of distribution of Nine thousand rupees quarterly stipend to deserving women under the Benazir Income Support Program(BISP).
DG Media Zulfikar Shaikh went to Larkana, Bakrani and Dokri and visited various camp sites established in government schools to get information from the deserving women about the problems faced by them and to the concerned administration to give pregnant, weak and disabled deserving women on priority basis and directed to grant relief.
District Director Benazir Income Support Program Larkana Ayaz Shaikh while briefed DG Media BISP on this occasion, said that along with the stipend of 9 thousand rupees issued to more than 76 thousand deserving women across the district, children’s stipend money is also being released under the resource education program.
For which three government schools have been designated as camp sites in the four tehsils of Larkana district with the support of the district administration and the education department, where they provide quarterly stipends to hundreds of women on a daily basis while arranging cold drinking water, tents and security is given.
Ayaz Sheikh further said that there are some reasons for the rush at the women’s camp site where all the deserving women already want to get the daily stipend and bring their non-beneficiary male and female relatives including their children, due to which the rush increases the stipend. However, (BISP) and concerned bank staff are trying to perform their duties without any break from 9 am to 7 pm.
On the other hand, to the questions of journalists, DG Media (BISP) said that efforts are underway to further improve the system of distribution of stipend under the Benazir Income Support Program(BISP).
He also said that our top priority is to He requested the beneficiaries that the women who continue to receive the quarterly stipend remain in their account so they should not fear that it will go back while the distribution of the stipend starting from June 19, 2023.
The process can be obtained from the camps till July 10, while after that it can also be obtained from bank retailers, he added and further said that the deserving women should not worry and avoid the huge rush during the hot summer season so that they do not have to face any problem.
