DHO reviews September polio campaign performance

Islamabad: District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad Dr Syeda Rashida Batool chaired a post-campaign review meeting to assess the performance of the September Sub-National Immunization Days (SNID) polio campaign and identify measures for improving future vaccination activities.



The meeting was held at the Committee Room of the District Health Office Islamabad and reviewed the campaign’s performance, Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) results, field presence of vaccination teams and overall coverage status.



Participants also discussed operational challenges encountered during the campaign and reviewed areas requiring further attention to improve vaccination coverage and campaign quality.



Dr Syeda Rashida Batool stressed the importance of addressing identified gaps, strengthening field monitoring and ensuring effective implementation of corrective measures to achieve the targets of upcoming polio campaigns.



The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of the district health authorities to strengthening vaccination efforts and ensuring that every eligible child is reached with polio drops.
