SUKKUR: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Sukkur, Tariq Abbas Qureshi has directed all the SSPs of the region to make fool proof security arrangements for Youm-e-Ali processions in the region
Presiding a meeting of SSPs at his office here on Thursday, the the DIG directed that special security plan would be chalked out to provide security to the programmes, majalis, processions to be organised in different areas of the city in connection with Youm-e-Ali (RA).
He said that all possible measures including special deployment of police and surveillance of the route of the main procession and monitoring of the procession through Command and Control Surveillance System should be ensured.
He also directed the SSPs to make security arrangements at the mosques and Imambargahs where people are staying for “Aitkaf” during last ten days of Ramzan. He said that the system of snap checking and targeted actions should be enhanced to control the activities of criminals.
