PESHAWAR: Leading businessman from KP and Director Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI), Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi Thursday called on Additional IGP Operations KP, Muhammad Ali Babakhel at his office.
During the meeting, the Police high up and businessman held informal discussion on overall economic conditions in the province besides law and order situation, says a press statement issued here.
Zia Sarhadi apprised Muhammad Ali Babakhel about pace of trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan and needed measures for bringing improvement in it.
He also appreciated services of Police along with other security forces in smooth and secure passage of containers containing goods for export to Afghanistan.
Zia said due to prevalence of peace and tranquility, the commercial activities can flourish and can bringing prosperity in the region by offering more livelihood opportunities.
On this occasion, Additional IGP KP, Muhammad Ali Babakhel held out assurance of full cooperation to business community of the province.
He said ensuring lasting peace for people from all segments of society is responsibility of the Police for which our force is performing duty with full dedication and even rending sacrifices of their lives.
Zia said the sacrifices rendered by our security forces including Police are held in high esteem by countrymen and will be written in golden words in the annals of history.
