ABBOTTABAD:Following the directives of Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Khalid Iqbal and responding to public grievances regarding discrepancies in the price and weight of Tandori Roti, the Price Control Magistrate of Tehsil Abbottabad initiated corrective measures.
In Abbottabad city, Additional Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Arshad Mahmood, accompanied by his team, conducted thorough inspections in the Mirpur and Mandian areas. Their primary objective was to examine the pricing of Roti and verify its weight. In cases where violations were identified, swift and necessary actions were taken.
Additional Assistant Commissioner Havalian, Lubna Iqbal, was directed to oversee bakery inspections, and Food Inspector Saqib Mir assisted her during the inspection. The AC assessed Rotiprices and verified the weight of the products. Lubna Iqbal imposed a fine on one Tandoor and served notices to the three owners of the Tandoor for noncompliance.
These measures were taken against the complaints lodged online in Khuli Kutchehri, where citizens expressed their concerns about Roti prices and weight discrepancies. Deputy Commissioner Khalid Iqbal has reaffirmed his commitment to upholding fair pricing and ensuring quality standards throughout the region.
