District admin prioritizes rural and urban issues: Khalid Iqbal

ABBOTTABAD: Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Khalid Iqbal on Wednesday said that resolving the issues of rural populations alongside urban ones at their doorstep was the top priority of the district administration.

He expressed these views while addressing a Khuli Kutchery in Tehsil Lora.

PTI Member National Assembly Ali Asghar Khan and Member Provincial Assembly Rajab Abbasi were also present in the Khuli Kutchery. They listened to the people’s problems and issued directives for their resolution.

A large number of local residents who participated in the Khuli Kutchery, highlighted their concerns. Officers from various district departments provided on-the-spot responses to queries about problem resolution.

Deputy Commissioner Khalid Iqbal addressed their complaints related to health, education, PESCO, public health, communication and works, mines and minerals, revenue, local government, and other departments.

He issued immediate directives for regular meter readings, correction of electric poles, road impr
ovements, water supply, action against illegal crush plants, provision of health facilities, teacher attendance, and better education for students.

The residents appreciated the Khuli Kutchery and emphasized the need for more such events in the future.

Following government directives, the district administration is organizing open courts not only in the city but also in other tehsils and rural areas to address the problems of remote area residents at their doorstep.
