Sialkot:A District Welfare Fund Board meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Zulqarnain.
According to a handout, 1,794 applications were approved for marriage grants of government employees’ daughters, education scholarships for children, monthly assistance and burial of deceased employees.
A total of Rs47.5 million will be distributed under welfare funds.
For the burial of 155 government employees who died from 1st January to 31st July, 2024, a total of Rs34,74,000 at Rs35,000 per person, 351 applications for girl marriage grant, a total of Rs19,300,000 at Rs55,000 each, a total of Rs17,290,000 for 1274 applications for children’s educational scholarships, while Rs5,40,000 welfare funds will be distributed to 14 people at Rs3,000 month in terms of monthly assistance.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) General Syed Asad Raza Kazmi, Superintendent DC Office Muhammad Anwar Kahlu, Secretariat Member Muhammad Arshad, Health and Education and other members participated in the
meeting.
