Distt Admin bans pillion riding for 10 days

District

PESHAWAR:The Bajaur district administration on Thursday imposed a 10-day ban on motorcycle pillion riding from October 29 to November 7, 2026, citing security concerns.

Deputy Commissioner Adnan Farid issued the order under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, prohibiting two people from travelling on a motorcycle within the district during the restriction period.

According to the notification, the administration took the decision in view of reports from intelligence agencies and police highlighting security threats and the possible use of motorcycles in terrorist activities.

The restriction will remain in force across Bajaur district until November 7, as the administration seeks to address the identified security concerns.
