SIALKOT: Deputy Commissioner Imran Qureshi said on Sunday the district administration and the education authority were committed to promote scouting in the city and wanted more students to take part in it to carry forward the mission of serving humanity.
He expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of a two-day Scout Campus organized by District Education Authority at Govt Higher Secondary School for Boys Nikapura. CEO Education Mian Riaz Ahmed, Provincial Secretary Scouts Association Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Deputy Secretary Muhammad Adil, Educationist Ashiq Hussain Siddiqui, DEO Elementary Education Chaudhry Atta Elahi, DEO Secondary Education Muhammad Ayub, Scouts and teachers from 13 schools participated in the scouts camp. Addressing the participants, DC Imran Qureshi said that scouts were capable of dealing with any emergency situation. He said that since the establishment of Pakistan, scouts had continued their services without any greed and their services had always been excellent. He also visited the scouts campus and reviewed the steps and arrangements made by scouts for camping. The DC also inaugurated tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling at the lawn of school.
