Gujrat: District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shahzad on Thursday visited various entry and exit points of the district to review the prevailing law and order situation and security arrangements.
According to a spokesperson, during the inspection, the security in-charge briefed the DPO on the comprehensive security measures currently in place at the border checkpoints and transit routes.
Speaking on the occasion, DPO Faisal Shahzad directed the police officers and personnel to remain highly alert and take all necessary precautionary measures to thwart any untoward incident and ensure public safety.
He further instructed the force to maintain strict vigilance over suspicious activities, keep a close watch on anti-social and extremist elements, and ensure the uncompromising enforcement of the law.
DSP Sadar Circle Muhammad Azam, station house officers (SHOs), the security in-charge, and other relevant police officers accompanied the DPO during the visit.
