PESHAWAR: District Police Officer (DPO) North Waziristan, Saleem Riaz visited various educational institutions and reviewed their security arrangements, said a press release issued here on Thursday.
During visits, the DPO met with the heads of educational institutions and discussed matters relating to their security.
He told the heads of educational institutions that besides police security, they should also equip their watchmen with arms and in case of any emergency timely inform the police.
The DPO also met with the commanders of police personnel deployed at various educational institutions and reviewed the security situation and checked the quality of arms and ammunitions of police personnel.
He directed the police jawans to remain alert while keeping in view the prevailing situation and strict surveillance of suspects.
