TANK: District Police Officer (DPO) Tank Iftekhar Ali Shah has visited different check post and reviewed the overall security situation keeping in view the prevailing threats.
The district police chief visited Sami Ullah Shaheed, Luqman Shaheed and Lateef Shaheed check posts where he inspected the security arrangements made to ensure law and order keeping in view the recent threats and incidents, said a police spokesman on Wednesday.
The DPO issued directions for further improvement in security arrangements at the check posts.
He asked the concerned officers and on-duty personnel to take precautionary measures for their own safety along with ensuring the safety of the lives and property of the citizens.
He asked them to keep a close watch on suspicious persons and use all available resources in order to maintain the law and order situation.
The DPO also checked the daily diary, barracks of constables and the cleanliness of the mess over which he expressed his satisfaction.
The DPO Tank also checked the cleanliness of weapons and the heavy guns installed in the fronts of check posts.
He also advised the on-duty personnel to treat people politely.
Later, the district police chief also heard the problems of the policemen and issued orders to the quarters concerned to resolve all legitimate problems on a priority basis.
