Rawalpindi: A man, arrested in a drug and illegal arms case, has confessed to kill his nephew in the Rawat area in 2025, police said on Friday.
According to police spokesperson, Saddar Barooni Police traced the previously unsolved murder during the investigation, who was arrested after drugs and an illegal weapon were allegedly recovered from his possession.
During interrogation, the suspect reportedly confessed to opening fire on his nephew while he was asleep at his home in the Rawat area, killing him.
Police said the suspect is a known criminal and has previously been involved in several cases, including terrorism, murder, attempted murder and drug-related offences.
SP Saddar said the suspect would be challaned before the court on the basis of solid evidence.
