Lahore:Dry and partly cloudy weather was witnessed in the city on Monday while the MET office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
The MET officials said a westerly wave was present over western and upper parts of the country and likely to strengthen from tonight. They predicted that rain-windstorm/thunderstorm was expected in upper/central Punjab, northeast Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan. Heavy falls/hailstorm may occur at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir. While dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.
Rainfall was recorded in some cities of Balochistan.
Monday’s highest maximum was recorded at Sukkur, Skarand, Lasbella, Khairpur, Mithi, Turbat and Dadu where mercury reached 39°C while in Lahore it was 34.2°C and minimum was 21.8°C.
