Efforts underway for development of district: Kundi

DERA ISMAIL KHAN:Special Assistant to Prime Minister Faisal Karim Kundi Monday vowed to continue his efforts for the development and prosperity of the district which was subjected to injustices by the past rulers.

As part of such efforts, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant said that a smart booking office of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) would be operationalized by October 10.

He lamented that past rulers have closed airport facility in the district despite their false claims and hollow slogans about operation of international flights from the Dera’s airport.

Faisal Karim Kundi maintained these people also remained tight lipped over the issue in the Parliament and kept people of the area deprived of the crucial facility for years.

Moreover, he said the so-called past elected representatives also did not raise voice or make efforts when regional offices of other key departments such as Associated Press of Pakistan, Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV), Press Information Department (PIA), Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) were closed down right under their nose.

Now being a leader of the allied party of the coalition government, Fasial Karim said no one would be allowed to do injustice with the Dera Ismail Khan district and all these offices were being in phases which would usher in development

of the area.

He said that the PID office was going to be reopened in the Dera Ismail Khan region from next week while the offices of PTV and reporter had already started operation in the area.
