Rawalpindi: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Social Services Fazail Mudassar and ADC Enforcement Abdul Rehman Khan directed municipal and health authorities to accelerate anti-dengue field operations and enforce vector control regulations across all vulnerable hotspots in Rawalpindi district.
Co-chairing a District Emergency and Response Committee meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, the administrative officers evaluated district-wide larvicidal surveillance, hotspot mapping, and the operational performance of field inspection teams.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Health Dr. Ehsan Ghani, along with senior representatives from the Health Department, Municipal Corporation Rawalpindi, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), and allied civic agencies, attended the session to review inter-departmental vector management protocols.
Addressing department heads, ADC Social Services Fazail Mudassar emphasized that administrative negligence or gaps in field surveillance would draw strict disciplinary action.
ADC Enforcement Abdul Rehman Khan instructed enforcement squads to initiate legal proceedings against commercial establishments, tire shops, junkyards, and residential properties violating anti-dengue standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The committee further called for expanded public awareness drives, urging citizens to eliminate standing water from rooftops, rain-fed storage tanks, and domestic premises to disrupt mosquito breeding.
