GUJRAT:The Environment Protection Department on Tuesday imposed fines totaling Rs100,000 on industrial units for violating environmental regulations during inspections across the district.
According to a spokesperson, the department inspected eight brick kilns, of which five were found closed and three were operating using zigzag technology.
The department also inspected seven industrial units and found violations at four of them, while notices were issued to three units for non-compliance with environmental regulations.
