DERA ISMAIL KHAN:Assistant Commissioner Pharpur Aneeq Anwar on Saturday paid visit to Chashma Right Bank Canal(CRBC) to take stock of damages caused to it due to recent flooding and ensure expeditious repair and restoration work on it.
He undertook the visit as per directives of Commissioner Dera Ismail Khan Division Amir Afaq to ensure implementation of directives for repair and restoration work on the canal which played a key role in agriculture development.
He directed the authorities concerned to take timely measures for restoration and cleanliness of all drains and water channels to ensure smooth flow of water and interrupted water supply to farmers for irrigation purposes.
It is pertinent to mention that the Commissioner had chaired a meeting of all the relevant departments for expediting repair and restoration work on all the drains and CRBC which were damaged by the recent heavy rains and resultant flash floods.
