PESHAWAR: Unknown extortionists on Tuesday threw a hand grenade inside the house of councillor, Javed Afridi in the Shalobar area in the vicinity of Bara police station, however, the attack did not cause any harm to human life.
Police said, the grenade burst into the lawn of Javed Afridi house, however thankfully no one was harmed in the attack. The miscreants fled the area after committing the crime, police said, adding that Councilor Javed Afridi was receiving unknown calls for extortion for the last few days.
