FAISALABAD:The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) administration has extended the deadline for the payment of development and additional development charges by defaulting allottees of FDA City until June 30, 2027 to provide them with relief.
The decision was approved at a meeting of the FDA Board of Governors, with the objective of providing defaulting allottees with an additional opportunity to clear their outstanding dues and improve the financial and developmental affairs of FDA City.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhary has urged defaulting allottees to take full advantage of the extended payment period and deposit their outstanding development and additional development charges immediately, without waiting for the deadline.
He made it clear that action would be taken in accordance with the rules against those who fail to pay their dues within the stipulated period. The departmental action may also include proceedings for the cancellation of their plots, he added.
Project Director FDA City and Director Estate Management-II Sohail Maqsood Pannu stated that during the extended period, defaulting allottees would be able to pay their outstanding development and additional development charges along with a penalty of Rs.2,000 per marla.
He said that purpose of granting additional time was to enable allottees to regularize their financial obligations and retain ownership of their plots.
He further advised FDA City allottees to obtain details of their outstanding dues and ensure payment in accordance with the prescribed procedure to avoid any legal or departmental complications in the future. Timely recovery of outstanding dues would also help expedite development projects and other essential activities in FDA City, he added.
The FDA administration has directed defaulting allottees to take this concession seriously, avoid further delays in settling their payments, and clear all outstanding dues before the final deadline of June 30, 2027 to protect their allotments from possible cancellation.
