Sialkot: In-charge Federal Ombudsman Regional Office Gujranwala Mushtaq Ahmad Awan on Wednesday heard public complaints against various federal departments at Jinnah Hall, Sialkot Fort.
According to the Federal Ombudsman office, most complaints were related to GEPCO, Sui Gas, Pakistan Post, NCCIA, FIA, State Life Insurance, Postal Life Insurance, NADRA, Passport Office, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, PTCL, EOBI and other federal departments.
A total of 70 complaints were heard, of which 50 were decided on the spot and relief was provided to the complainants, while 20 cases were adjourned for the next date. New complaints against federal departments were also received during the hearing.
The complainants appreciated the Federal Ombudsman’s initiative, saying such hearings in different cities provide people an opportunity to present their grievances without travelling to distant offices.
