FAISALABAD The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has started combing operation on its 11-kV feeders to ensure smooth flower of electricity especially during peak hours. FESCO Spokesman Tahir Sheikh said here on Monday that the combing operation was initiated on special direction of Chairman FESCO Board of Directors Malik Tahseen Awan and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) FESCO Engineer Bashir Ahmed. He said that during this operation, the FESCO teams would visit all feeders and their transmission lines so that the faulty and out-of-order wires, meters, transformers and other installations could be replaced. During this operation, LT lines and electricity poles would also be checked for removing their faults or replacing them with new ones, he added. He said that FESCO teams would also trim the tree branches which would touch the electricity lines or create trouble smooth flow of power supply. Meanwhile, CEO Engineer Bashir Ahmed said that FESCO would improve its distribution system before next summ
er season. In this connection, a comprehensive strategy would be implemented for up-gradation of grid stations in addition to construction of new grids and transmission lines. He also directed the FESCO teams to ensure washing of insulator discs so that the consumers could be provided uninterrupted power supply during smog and fog.
