Rawalpindi: In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, police have arrested five individuals and seized more than 3 kg drugs.
According to police spokesman, Wah Cantt police held Abdul Khaliq and recovered 120 gram ice from his possession.
Similarly, Taxila police nabbed Danish and recovered 1.6 kg drugs from his custody.
While, Naseerabad police recovered 700 gram of charas from Imran.
Gujjar Khan police recovered 550 gram of charas from Numan.
Following operation, Ratta Amaral police apprehended Amir and recovered 530 gram of charas from him.
Police have registered separate cases against the accused and further investigation was in progress.
City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani emphasized that all legal steps will be taken to ensure the accused are punished. He also vowed that the crackdown on drug dealers will be continued, aiming to protect the youth from drug abuse and ensure strict action against those involved in drug trafficking.
