Flood-affected people asked to get themselves registered

DERA ISMAIL KHAN:The district administration has directed the revenue officers (Patwaris) to inform flood affected people of their respective circles to stay in their areas or houses in order to get themselves registered in survey which will continue till September 25.

These directions have been given following the KP government’s decision to launch a survey from Thursday at flood affected areas to assess damage caused to houses in flood-affected areas.

The field teams will go door-to-door and collect data electronically through the mobile application and a mechanism has been devised to ensure efficient management and utilization of flood relief funds.

In this regard, training had been imparted to field staff about mobile application developed for the survey.

According to notification, the vising teams will comprise officials from different departments to collect complete data about damages caused to properties at the flood affected areas.

Meanwhile, repair work on Chashma Right Bank Canal (CRBC) is continuing as per directives of the Commissioner Amir Afaq who has directed the authorities concerned to expedite rehabilitation and restoration work on all damaged infrastructures at flood affected areas.

He said that district administration would make all possible efforts to extend relief to flood affected people and in this regard no negligence would be tolerated.
