Lahore: After 20 years, arrangements for Basant celebrations have begun in Lahore.
According to District Administration sources, the city will be divided into Red, Yellow and Green zones and security and safety measures will be taken so that Basant days are organized and safe.
A total of 47 places in the walled city have been included in the Red Zone, while 32 places within a radius of 10 kilometers from the inner city have been selected in the Yellow Zone. While, police, rescue and antenna mechanics camps will be set up in both zones. Illegal motorcycle riders or people without helmets will not be able to enter the Red and Yellow Zones.
It is worth mentioning here that rooftops will be rented out, allowing school students to also participate in Basant.
