Islamabad:The National Book Foundation and Karwan-e-Adab on Thursday organized a literary session at Indonesian Corner Hall of National Book Foundation in which eminent writers participated.
The session was specially organized with regard to present the prose creative works of the writers, said a press release.
The ceremony was started by Naeem Fatima Alvi with opening remarks and presented her story. Later, other guests presented their own prose works, which included their representative fiction essays and creative prose pieces, which they recited and entertained the audience.
These fictions, essays and prose pieces were on various topics, including the reflection of the current events of the time and place, past, present, future and modern topics.
Participating writers and intellectuals included Naseem Sahar, Farida Hafeez, Qaisra Alvi, Dr Wahidrana, Ziauddin Naeem, Salman Basit, Hamid Qaisar, Dr Maqsood Hussain, Sabeen Younis, Munira Shamim, Muhammad Ali and Saba Kazmi.

Foundation Murad Ali Mohmand took a special part and said that organizing such a literary meeting has always been an honor for the National Book Foundation and we will continue to organize such literary meetings in the future. ‘Our aim is to promote literature and book culture and the creations and research work of the writer is to be brought forward. All this is possible only with the cooperation of you and the entire literary community.’
He presented honorary bouquets to the participants. Ex-Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters Qasim Bhagyu also graced the event and appreciated the academic and literary efforts of National Book Foundation. Salim Akhtar was the host of behalf of the National Book Foundation.
