RAWALPINDI:Rawalpindi police in an action against suspected drug peddlers conducted raids in different areas and rounded up four accused on recovery of over five kg charras.
According to a police spokesman, Airport, Rattaamral, Pirwadhai and Sadiqabad police conducted raids in their respective jurisdiction and rounded up Sajid Hussain with 2400 grams charras, Imran for having 1050 grams charras, Hamid Iqbal for carrying 1220 grams charras and Hassan Ahmed on recovery of 1013 grams charras.
Separate cases have been registered against all accused while further investigations are underway.
City Police Officer, Rawalpindi had directed the police officers to accelerate ongoing operations against drug peddlers, bootleggers and other lawbreakers, he added.
