Faisalabad:Bringing pride to National Textile University Faisalabad (NTUF), four distinguished faculty members have been named among the World’s Top 2 percent Scientists in the prestigious list released by the Stanford University. NTUF spokesman said here on Monday that the recognition was awarded based on research excellence, citations and lifetime contribution to their respective fields. Among these faculty members included Prof. Dr. Hafsa Jamshed Chairperson, Department of Textile Engineering Field: Materials Science; Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Raza Chairman, Department of Applied Sciences Field Polymers – Global Rank: 655 – No.1 Outstanding Scientist NTUF; Dr. Salman Raza Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science Field: Networking and Computer Science; and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif Dean, School of Science Field: Energy and Thermal Systems – Global Rank: 3721. NTUF Rector/Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rashid Masood congratulated all the award-winning faculty members. The achievement was a testament to their hard
work, dedication to research, and commitment to innovation. It was a moment of great pride for the entire NTU family, he added. He reaffirmed that NTUF, established in 1959, remained committed to research, innovation, and national development, and would continue to provide all possible support to its faculty for advanced research in textiles, polymers, energy and technology sectors.
