SIALKOT: The Punjab Women Development Department has started registration for the SheThreads programme at Qutab Star Enterprises in Pasrur to provide free textile industry training to rural women along with a monthly stipend of Rs15,000 for three months.
Under the programme, women will receive professional training as industrial sewing machine operators and apparel supervisors to help them secure employment in the textile industry. The department will also facilitate trained women in finding jobs after completion of the course.
According to the Women Development Department, the three-month training course will be completely free and include practical training as well as classroom instruction. Eligible participants will receive a monthly stipend of Rs15,000 throughout the training period.
Women aged 18 to 45 years, holding a Punjab domicile and having at least a matriculation qualification, are eligible to apply. Applicants must bring their CNIC and domicile documents for registration. After initial screening and verification, shortlisted candidates will be required to submit an affidavit before final admission.
