SUKKUR:The Department of Gallstone Surgery at Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences (PAQSJIMS), Gambat has announced a hands-on Laparoscopic Workshop for postgraduate trainees.
According to GIMS Spokesperson Jameel Hyder on Monday, the workshop is exclusively for General Surgery Postgraduate Residents (PGRs) who are currently enrolled in any university or college and are undergoing training in General Surgery.
The training module includes simulator-based proficiency assessment followed by hands-on training with real patients for those who demonstrate proficiency on the simulator.
He said that applications had been invited from candidates belonging to six districts of northern Sindh including Larkana, Sukkur, Khairpur Mir’s, Nawabshah (Shaheed Benazirabad), Ghotki and Naushahro Feroze districts.
Registration for the workshop will start from Nov 3, 2026, while the last date for submission of application forms is Nov 12, 2026 till 6: 00 pm. The registration fee has been fixed at Rs. 5,000, to be deposited in MCB Account No. 0308630681001350 with Account Title: PSAQJIMS GAMBAT.
