Quetta:Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly Ghazala Gola has been elected unopposed as the Chairperson Women Parliamentary Caucus (WPC).
According to a statement issued here on Thursday, the first meeting of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus was held in the committee room of the Balochistan Provincial Assembly.
Assembly Secretary Tahir Shah Kakar briefed the committee on the working procedures of the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus. After the briefing, elections for various positions were conducted.
The Women Parliamentarians were elected unopposed, reflecting the members’ commitment to work together to strengthen the WPC.
As per statement, Ghazala Gola was elected as Chairperson, Shahida Rauf as Vice Chairperson, Farah Azeem Shah as General Secretary, Salma Kakar as Treasurer, and Hadia Nawaz as Information Secretary.
The WPC expressed its determination to work together for effective representation and empowerment of women in Balochistan.
