Quetta: Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail has hailed the trilateral defense agreement signed in Makkah between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey as a historic step toward safeguarding peace and stability in the region.
In a statement, the Governor emphasized that ‘peace can only be protected through strength, ‘ noting that when the defense capabilities of three brotherly Islamic nations are united, no aggression can succeed. He described the pact as a promise of a shared future based on security, fraternity, and mutual trust.
Jaffar Mandokhail said the agreement will not only enable the three countries to confront emerging challenges but also foster a broader sense of security and stability across the region. He added that smaller nations may eventually join this framework, as standing alone could weaken them, while a strong center always exerts a positive influence on its surroundings.
Highlighting the wider impact, the Governor remarked that harmony among major Muslim powers ensures peace across the region, strengthens trade markets, secures borders, and instills confidence among citizens. He expressed hope that if other brotherly nations join in the future, the pact could evolve into a broad alliance for cooperation, economic partnership, and collective security particularly offering hope to smaller states.
Calling the accord a ‘diplomatic milestone, ‘ Jaffar Mandokhail said it embodies fraternity and places peace, security, and stability at the core of policy.
He recalled Pakistan’s past role in promoting regional peace and stability, stressing that after this agreement, Pakistan’s responsibilities have further increased.
