QUETTA:Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar on Thursday directed the officials of various departments to take steps to improve the performance for facilitating people of the areas.
He expressed these views while talking to the delegations of Loralai, Turbat, Mastung, Ziarat, Dulangi and Murga Faqirzai at the Governor’s House Quetta.
The governor said that the remote districts of Balochistan are comparatively more backward, life is becoming difficult due to lack of basic facilities, and the maternal and child mortality rate has reached an alarming level.
The only solution is that all the top officials, heads of administration and departments of the province should start surprise visits to get an accurate understanding of the actual performance of each institution, attendance of staff and related grievances of the people, he added.
He said that without the full functioning of institutions and their branches in all the districts of the province, the dream of a developed province could not be achieved.
If we do not take immediate steps to improve the attendance and performance of all government officers, doctors, teachers and other employees, then all our institutions will fail to deliver at the district level, he said.
The Governor said he will make surprise visits to institutions at any time and action will be taken against those who are absent and negligent in their duties.
