Sargodha: Two students of the Architecture Department of Government College of Technology for Women,Sargodha have secured second and third positions across Punjab, bringing distinction to their institution and families.
According to a college spokesman,Areeba Tariq Awan secured second position, while Aamna Waheed obtained third position in Punjab.
A ceremony was organized at the principal’s office to honour the students for their outstanding academic performance.
Principal Government College of Technology for Women Sargodha Amira Akram, Head of Architecture Department Samin Irfan and faculty members Sidra Iqbal,Ayesha Farooq,Sobia Rao, Anila Sambal and Khansa Huma attended the ceremony.
Principal Amira Akram and Head of Department Samin Irfan congratulated the students and presented them with bouquets.A cake was also cut on the occasion.
Speaking at the ceremony, the principal said the students’ achievement was a matter of pride for the institution. She said their performance demonstrated that students could excel at the provincial level when provided with quality education, proper guidance and a conducive academic environment.
