Lahore: Green Property Certificates have been implemented in 8 districts of Punjab under the land reform plan.
The initial phase includes Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat and Wazirabad, while the initiative will be extended to other districts of the province in phases.
According to officials, the main objective of implementing the Green Property Certificate is to secure the ownership of property of the public and completely eliminate possible fraud and forgery in the purchase and sale of land.
This certificate will be verified by the Punjab government, which will promote transparency and trust in property records.
Chairman Punjab Land Records Authority says that the Green Property Certificate will prove to be a game-changer initiative, which will not only provide legal protection to the public but will also significantly reduce land-related disputes.
