HYDERABAD: HEC Olympic day was celebrated at Isra University, for promoting student activities and sport .
Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad, Zain-ul-Abideen Memon, was the chief guest of the ceremony . who was warmly received by Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, Vice Chancellor, along with Prof. Dr. Hameedullah Kazi, Former Chancellor and Director of Isra Islamic Foundation, Prof. Dr. Suhail Kazi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Science and Technology, and Dr. Saad Baloch, Additional Director (SA and A).
The celebrations began with a Tree Plantation Drive, symbolizing the university’s dedication to a greener Pakistan. DC Zain-ul-Abideen Memon planted a tree on the campus, emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation. The sports activities included a Table Tennis Competition, a Chess Competition among students, and a 100 Meter race among employees.

Zain-ul-Abideen Memon expressed his gratitude to Isra University for the warm welcome and commended the institution for its efforts in promoting sports and environmental initiatives.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, emphasized the importance of such events in fostering a healthy and active lifestyle among students and staff. At the end, Dr. Ahmed Waliullah Kazi, distributed the Trophies among the Winners and Runners and Certificates among the participants at a Closing Ceremony. The Winner and Runner-up in 100-meter Race (Female) were, Shafia (Winner), Karishma Sharma (Runner-Up), while in Male category 100-meter Race (Male Employees), Abid Ali was Winner and Tahir Ahmed was Runner-up. For Table tennis (Female), Alia Yahya was Winner and Hifza Ansari was Runner-Up while in
Male Category Muhammad Tashfeen Khalid was Winner and Jhanzaib was Runner-Up. In the Chess (Male) event Muhammad Najaf was Winner while Shafqat Hussain was Runner-Up. As for Chess (Female), Aqsa bibi was Winner and Jasma sheikh was Runner-Up.
