ISLAMABAD: Islamabad district administration has continued its crackdown on sheesha cafes, sealing multiple establishments and confiscating equipment during operations conducted last night.
Acting on court orders, the administration has decided to carry out daily inspections across the federal capital and take action against all indoor and outdoor cafes offering
sheesha facilities.
The district administration said the operations would continue across the city without discrimination, in accordance with the court’s directions.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has directed all assistant commissioners to submit daily reports on the enforcement actions taken against sheesha cafes in their respective areas.
According to the administration, the campaign covers all types of cafes operating indoor and outdoor sheesha facilities. Officials have been instructed to ensure compliance with the court orders and continue enforcement on a daily basis.
The administration further stated that all previously issued no-objection certificates (NOCs) for sheesha cafes had been cancelled under the court’s orders. The cancellation means that establishments cannot rely on previously issued NOCs to continue their sheesha-related operations
The district administration reiterated that action would continue against sheesha
cafes throughout Islamabad, with inspections and enforcement measures carried out in line with the judicial directives.
The latest operations are part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to implement the court’s orders regarding the closure of sheesha cafes in the federal capital. Officials will continue to monitor compliance and report their actions to the Deputy Commissioner on a daily basis.
The administration has made it clear that the campaign will cover all relevant establishments, regardless of whether they operate indoors or outdoors, and that enforcement will continue across the city.
