ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Tuesday imposed over Rs 90.3 million fine on power pilferers and 251 power thieves had been arrested by the police so far in various circles of the company during the ongoing power anti power theft and recovery drive.
The IESCO Spokesperson told that the company’s teams checked 3,955 meters in a single day and held 49 power thieves. Over 45,974 units were also charged besides imposing fine of Rs 1.08 million on them.
He said collectively, 1424 power pilferers were held so far.
