LAHORE: Inspector General Police Punjab Dr Usman Anwar on Saturday paid a surprise visit
to 1787 Complaint Center at the Central Police Office. The IG reviewed the working at 1787 Center and checked complaints received from all over the province.
Dr Usman Anwar personally listened to complaints received from various districts via telephone
calls and issued orders for timely redressal.
The IG said RPOs and DPOs should remain vigilant and strict action was being taken against the responsible for delay in registration of cases under zero tolerance. The IG Punjab directed that complaints should be resolved within the stipulated timeline as per the SOPs.
