IGP inaugurates model police station Timergara

DIR LOWER: Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan visited Lower Dir and inaugurated the newly constructed Model Police Station Timergara.

On this occasion, Regional Police Officer Malakand Range Muhammad Ali and District Police Officer Lower Dir Rai Mazhar Iqbal welcomed the IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

During the inaugural ceremony, the young daughter of martyr Israr Ahmed presented a bouquet of flowers to the IG, and a smartly turned-out contingent of Lower Dir saluted him.

The IG inspected the building of the Model Police Station, equipped with modern facilities, and received a detailed briefing from the DPO Lower Dir.

On this occasion, IG Akhtar Hayat Khan stated that the establishment of the Model Police Station would prove to be a milestone in providing facilities to the local people.

Later, the IG presided over a high-level meeting regarding law and order at the DPO office, where a comprehensive briefing on the overall security situation of the district was given.

The IG expre
ssed satisfaction over the law and order situation in the district and met with police officers injured in the Maidan operation, praising their bravery in confronting anti-peace elements.

He also awarded them commendation certificates.

He added that the vacant positions in the province would be filled transparently soon. He announced that all vacant positions requiring promotion would be filled through promotions.

The IG lauded the courage and valor of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, saying it was a force of martyrs and heroes who have made sacrifices to ensure peace and security in the country.

He assured that the welfare, training, provision of modern vehicles, and technical equipment for the police force would be ensured.

He also planted a sapling in Police Lines Timergara in order to promote efforts for tree plantation.
