Lahore: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar on Tuesday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their concerns regarding promotions, seniority, welfare and administrative matters.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the IGP issued on-the-spot directives for immediate relief in several cases. Regarding the pending dues of the widow of the late Constable Amanat Ali, the IGP directed the DIG Welfare and Finance to provide immediate relief. Similarly, on the request regarding the payment of fees for the son of Ghazi Constable Tariq Mehmood, DIG Welfare and Finance was also instructed to provide relief. Furthermore, on the request of TSI Muhammad Farooq regarding exemption from a course, the DIG Establishment-I was directed to provide relief.
Dr Usman said that the best welfare of the police force and their families is the first priority and all possible measures are being taken in this regard.
