LAHORE: Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has issued more than 1 million rupees funds for the treatment of Ghazi officials, who got injured in the line of duty.
On the direction of IG Punjab, the Companion Award Committee meeting was held at the Central Police Office here on Wednesday in which funds were approved for the medical expenses of the police officials of various districts including Lahore.
According to the details, Nankana Sahib Police Ghazi Driver Constable Sajjad Ahmed was given Rs 300,000 for treatment. Rs 250,000 were given to Ghazi Constable Abdul Latif of Sialkot police for treatment.
Ghazi Constables Riasat Ali and Muhammad Boota were given Rs 200,000 each for treatment. Ghazi Constable Zafar Mehdi was given Rs 100,000 for treatment.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar ordered to continue the measures for the best treatment of Ghazi officers and officials and said that early rehabilitation of Ghazi officers and personnel is the first priority and the department will continue its all possible support.
He further said that the Ghazi personnel will be given silver medals, their names will be engraved on the Ghazi wall at the Central Police Office.
The Compensation Award Committee meeting was chaired by Additional IG Finance and Welfare Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara, whereas DIG Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin participated as Secretary, DIG Establishment Dr. Inam Waheed Khan DIG Headquarters Humayun Bashir Tarar as members attended the meeting.
